Racing Programme

A variety of racing programmes and options are in the planning stages for this summer. Dragon Class racing is normally Olympic style windward leeward courses but round the cans and harbour racing is also available with the Classic Yacht Association.

NZIDA Summer Series

The Auckland Dragon fleet will be holding weekly racing from November 2011. Details coming soon.

NZIDA National Regatta

The next Annual Regatta wil be held from Friday 2nd March to Sunday 4th March 2012 at Bon Accord Harbour on Kawau Island. 

CYA Harbour Race Series

A series of seven races run within Auckland Harbour by the Classic Yacht Association from October through to April.  The Dragon Class competes in the CYA "B" Division.

KIYC 60th Anniversary Race to Kawau.  Saturday 12th - 13th November

CYA Oceanbridge Auckland Anniversary Regatta

Held on Auckland Anniversary Monday, this harbour race provides competitive handicap racing in a typically spectacular fleet. Monday 30th January 2012

CYA Southern Trust Classic Yacht Regatta

A three day harbour regatta sailed over a variety of courses traditionally strongly supported with industry sponsorship, great camaraderie and in recent years, an enthusiastic Australian participation, within the multiple divisions of the classic fleet. 10th - 12th February 2012.
